Pakistan In New Guinness Record for Tree Planting

Not all world records are created equal.

Being in the Guinness Book of World Records is as often a sign of being just weird as of having done something truly of import. Having the world’s longest nails or being the world’s fattest person is intriguing but not really consequential.

Sometimes, however, the record created is truly consequential. On July 15, 2009, one just truly consequential record was created when a team of 300 volunteers in Pakistan planted 5,41,176 mangrove tree saplings in the back waters of Arabian Sea near Keti Bandar.

This is consequential not because it is a ‘world record’ but because it is truly important for the world. In the midst of environmental degradation and rising sea levels the coastal Mangroves in Pakistan are natures defense against all sorts of environmental calamities, and this defense has been progressively disappearing. Bolstering the Mangroves can make a real difference not only to Pakistan’s environment, but to the world’s.

This was done as part of Pakistan’s “Year of the Environment,” a brain-child of Pakistan’s environment Minister, Hamidullah Jan Afridi. One of us has been closely involved in these discussions with the Minister and in advancing the idea that something big and bold needs to be done to capture public attention. This is certainly big and bold. And it has certainly captured public attention. For that the Ministry and the Minister needs to be congratulated. The real test, however, will be in what is maintained of this plantation and how it survives and thrives over time. That will require the same type of government resolve that has gone into setting this “world record.”

A team of volunteers in Pakistan has set a new world record by planting more than half a million trees in one day. Guinness World Records confirmed that 541,176 trees had been planted in the southern province of Sindh on 15 July.

Some 300 volunteers, working in groups, planted mangrove saplings in the 750 acres of the Indus river delta region. They beat the previous team record for tree planting which was set in India just last month when 447,874 saplings were planted in Assam state.

Pakistan’s tree-planting marathon was witnessed by representatives of Guinness World Records and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Each group was issued saplings by a panel of experts which also monitored the planting process to ensure that standards set by Guinness World Records were met.

Aadil Ahmed, the Guinness representative, told the BBC he was there to ensure that no old plants were included in the count. Pakistan’s environment minister, Hamidullah Jan Afridi, said the event was part of a series of events being held to observe the national year of the environment.

“The government has set aside one billion rupees over a three-year period to protect these plants and help them survive,” Mr Afridi said. Mangroves grow in delta regions where the fresh waters of the river mix with sea water. Experts say the new saplings will have difficulty surviving because of diminishing river water in the region.

Repentance

It was the title of a famous Western movie of Clint Eastwood released many years ago. Clint was the good man and Eli Wallach and Lee van Cleef were the bad and ugly guys. These western films once very famous in our country were in fact the Punjabi action films in English. The story would be the same, one good man and many bad men confronting each other on possession of a beautiful village girl, some disputed land or a hidden treasure.

The end of all these films is always similar; the death of the bad man or men or their repentance and becoming good men. But viewers only see the main part of the movie and skip the last 10-15 minutes of death of the evil or the ugly or repentance of evil or bad deeds. We would see children in the streets acting like Sultan Rahi (the good man or the Clint Eastwood of the Western films) rarely, but mostly like Mustafa Qureshi or like (the bad men). The bad men rule the films for its almost entire length, hence leave a lasting impact on the audience, only to be slain in the end by which time they had left the desired impression on their audience. And when there are social injustices in the society, they give a cue to many to learn the art of grabbing from the have, and even from the have nots.

This is also true in our real life as well. We have seen fate of many a bad man who ruled the darkness of nights, looted and killed anyone who came their way and made good with the booty. They rule as long as they have some kind of weapon in their hands. But when they are caught and de-armed, suddenly their once mighty gaze lowers and heads pulled down in shame and grief. This is exactly the same way when a snake is alive and venomous. But the moment it is killed, those who would never come nearby when it was alive, would kick it and children and would tie a string around its neck and drag it in the streets.

So it is the weapon or the power which makes a man bold, evil, wicked and ugly. He makes money, make poor poorer and lives like an almighty. They rape and plunder at will and care for no age and relation. They just rule. But when they are caught and sentenced for life, the suddenly grow a beard and their eyes remain in tears most of the time, pray for repentance and forgiveness. This is exactly what great men have said, “Bad men are full of repentance (Aristotle).”Because this is how bring an end to their sinful life, weeping and resentencing. Suddenly a man realizes the depth of his ugliness and wickedness, the harm done to the hapless and the helpless.

Despite knowing the end very clearly, bad men continue to be bad or ugly, caring less for the consequences for as long as they have power or strength. And then one day, they realize who bad they have been and repent. Look around and you would find many looting and many repenting. It is only a matter of time.

Another Bad Luck - Missing Pakistani Wicketkeeper

When the Pakistani cricket team was in England recently, there was uproar in the British media about the involvement of three Pakistani players in match fixing. Although despite many probes, even the Scotland Yard also jumped in, there was no concrete evidence found so far to affix blame on the Pakistani players. At that time, I wrote that we must protect our strategic assets against the underworld pressure tactics and save them from falling.
Perhaps like many other vows, that effort went waste, since today once again there headlines about Pakistani players – this time missing of the wicketkeeper from the hotel in Dubai. Zulqarnain Haider, - the hero hero of Pakistan's victory in the fourth ODI with South Africa, is said to have collected his passport last night and has been missing from his hotel room since six in the morning.
Now this is something unbearable. What was the security officer of the Pakistan doing? Sleeping in his room so that anyone could sneak out at liesure? Why was he handed over his passport last night? Didn’t warning bells sounded in the ears of the team manager and the security officer?
At the time of posting this write-up, there is news that Haider has aired him being threatened by someone to lose the last match. Haider is said to have told some friend of his that he was going to England instead of Pakistan. Even the team manager Intikhab Alam has been quoted as saying that he knows the whereabouts of the missing player – why doesn’t he tell where? While this jigsaw puzzle could have been a good input for Agatha Christie to write a new mystery book, but not for Pakistan in any case.
We have the habit of repeating our mistakes many times and make sure that these cause us maximum harm before there is no room is left for more harm to come. The missing of an ace players seems to be height our ignorance about matters related to our players’ security and leaving them at their own to succumb to the pressures which they bear all alone. For God sake get up and open your eyes – everyone…

First Female PAKISTANI ASTRONAUT has world at her feet

AMID THE pervading gloom in Pakistan, an historic milestone went largely unnoticed this past week. Namira Salim, the first would-be Pakistani astronaut to go into space this year hoisted the country’s crescent-and-star flag at the South Pole. Following up on a similar deed in the North in April last, she has become the first Pakistani to reach the two poles – a deed worthy of the very distinguished achiever that Namira is.

It would belittle the distinction, if her new heights were to be seen as only raising the bar for her gender but it takes nothing away from the fact that Pakistani women have, often enough, made their presence felt globally: from the first woman prime minister in the Muslim world (Benazir Bhutto) to the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (Arfa Karim) the list is long. Braving the extreme harsh weather, wind chill and severe solar radiation, Namira reached the South Pole in what was a private expedition 90 degrees south last week.

With her more renowned passion for space travel and the latest conquests at the planet’s bends, it is easy to forget that Namira is a woman of varied talents.

She was a born star-gazer, getting her first telescope when she was 14. Namira joined Pakistan’s first astronomy society at the age of 16.

Born in Karachi, she was never trained as an astronaut. Instead, she made her name as a sculptor, musician, poet, astrologer, peace activist and humanist. The only sister of twin brothers, who run their father’s business of heavy construction industry in Dubai also learnt flying as well as scuba diving.

It was on March 29, 2006, when this shy Pakistani woman made global headlines. Of all the people, the world’s most versatile and adventurous entrepreneur, Richard Branson, introduced Namira to the world as the first woman from the Middle East and Asia to fly into space on a commercial spaceship.

Pakistan’s new celebrity was also the first from her region to be a member of the exclusive Virgin Galactic Founders Club – the first 100 space travelers to sign up in full to a flight on Virgin Galactic, when commercial operations commence in 2008-9. Of over 44,000 registrants, the Virgin Galactic chose her to be a pioneer to fly into space for all of those who come after.

Unlike many of her ilk, Namira does not carry a chip on her shoulder. She would return your call if she is unable to attend it for any reason. She has no personal secretaries, no complexes and no swollen egos.

In a recent interview, I remember Namira telling me that she always wanted to do something different. This year her dream – and, I suspect, that of millions of her compatriots – is about to come true, when she flies into orbit.

10 Annoying Things American Tourists Shouldn't Do

I live in one of the oldest and most architecturally fascinating cities in Europe, which results in loads of tourists. Now, to be sure, every country has their fair share of idiots who travel abroad. But, for some reason, the Americans seem particularly ignorant and obnoxious.
This wouldn’t be so bad, if they were capable of blending into the crowd – but they tend to lack these skills more often than not.
Due to my job, I encounter loads of them every weekend, and I’ve noticed a distinct similarity across the board. It doesn’t matter if they’re from the south, the west or the northeast – they always seem to act the fool in some respect.
It’s gotten so bad that the US government has actually started issuing etiquette pamphlets for Americans traveling abroad, to try to clue them in on their behavior and how it ticks most of the world off. Unfortunately, most Americans seem to have missed the memo.
So please, on behalf of Europe, let me ask the Americans to stop doing the following:

Stop talking about how “cheap” everything is.
For starters, things aren’t as cheap as you think they are, and most of you don’t really have a clue about currency conversion. I hear people debating costs all the time. Bring a calculator, cos most of you cannot do the math in your heads. Secondly, if it is cheap, it may not be cheap to the people who live there, and have to listen to you talk like you're King Midas. It’s rude, so keep your remarks to yourself until your back in your hotel room.

Stop talking so damned loud.
This is one of the most obnoxious things American tourists do. If you’re in a bar where it’s loud and you have be loud to hear yourself, great, go for it. But if you’re in a nice restaurant, or club, or shop, etc – shut up! Believe me, your conversations are not that interesting to the locals. And I mean that sincerely; it’s ridiculous how petty the lot of you sound, which is the real reason Europeans look down on us. Hard not to, when the biggest crisis in someone’s life is running out of hairspray, and ohmigod, like, will I be able to find my brand in this 3rd world country?

Read something about the country you’re visiting before you get on the plane.
Did you know that most Americans think the Czech Republic is still Czechoslovakia? And did you know that most who realize it isn’t, think only the name changed? And that those who realize they separated into two different countries, still don’t realize they are two different peoples – the Czechs and the Slovaks? I’ve met “educated” people walking around while they call home on their cell phones and tell mom they’re having a swell time in Czechoslovakia. Duh.

Do not assume people speak English.
Guess what – in all of Europe, the only place you’re guaranteed to hear English is in the UK. Do not waltz into Germany or France and expect the locals to speak English with you, and don’t give them a dirty look if they can’t. Most of the Europeans I know speak 3 languages, whether English is one of them or not. How many do you speak? Also, I see loads of Americans encounter non-English speakers.. and then start to speak more loudly. Or, they start to speak like they’re addressing someone who is mentally challenged. Slick, people. Really, really slick.

Don’t assume people don’t speak English.
Even if they say they can’t speak English, most people do speak enough to understand whether or not you’re speaking rudely about them. Just because the waitress doesn’t know that fancy drink you’re asking for, doesn’t mean she won’t spit in your food as you snub her to your friends. Get some manners, or order room service.

Don’t ask people what communism was like – and don’t pretend to understand it.
I’ve lived in a former soviet bloc country for 5 years. One which still has loads of red tape. I’ve been accepted into a few families and have learned many things about communism – but I would never presume to “understand” what it was like. Which means some fool who just stepped off a plane shouldn’t bring it up either, unless a native brings it up first.

Don’t mention the Nazis when traveling through Germany.
Most Europeans still trash the Germans for the Nazis and they still toss words like Gestapo around – but not in Germany. Don’t be an idiot. If I need to explain this one in detail, you’re one of the Americans who ought to stay home.

Don’t get into political arguments.
Whether you agree or disagree with American politics, don’t get into it with the locals. Even if you agree with them, all this does is attract loads of attention, and it serves no purpose. And, to be frank, Europeans probably know more about American politics than the average American tourist – so you stand a good chance of being made a fool of, anyway.

Don’t "educate" people.
Really. Don’t try to explain life and other complexities to the locals. They’re usually pretty educated and take school pretty seriously, even at a young age. Odds are, they’re better read and better educated than most of you, so don’t talk to them like you’re addressing the deaf, dumb and blind kid, ok? Cos most of you just come off as condescending, whether you mean to, or not.

Don’t talk about how much better something is in America.
I hear this one constantly. It’s obnoxious. It’s rude. And it’s very, very American. Yes, some things are better in the USA, and, believe it or not, some things are better in Europe. If you prefer the US, go home – Europe will be ok without you.

Obviously, this doesn’t apply to ALL Americans. It does, however, apply to most. And, of course, it’s not just Americans – the Brits do it too, but they're far more subtle about it. At any rate, this kind of behavior does not reflect well on Americans, and is particularly annoying for those who actually live overseas, cos we get stuck having to assure the locals that not all Americans are so incredibly inept.

Bhatti, who has financed and acted in the film Godfather, The Legend Continues, claims to be a hotelier — a partner in Hotel Ramada Inn in Dubai. Aslam Bhatti, an alleged gold and drugs smuggler from Pakistan, is based in Dubai.

The film has a huge star cast from India, Pakistan, Bulgaria and Dubai. Bhatti is playing a negative role in the film and has been given the look of a don.

Google Pakistan, fix your Punjabi

I just found that Google has a Google Pakistan site, and it offers English, Urdu and Punjabi language. The Urdu portion works properly and uses the correct arabic script/fonts but the Punjabi script is actually incorrect. I suppose this is a bit of a cultural faux pas on Googles part, although I can't really blame them for the honest mistake. It's not easy to understand the intricacies of other cultures and languages, especially in this case. The problem is that Google.com.pk displays Punjabi in the Gurmukhi script, when it should actually be in the Arabic script. Gurmukhi is the script used for the Punjabi language in India, but Arabic script is used in Pakistan. The difference is quite severe, I can read arabic script but can't read a single thing in Gurmukhi. Anyways, the point is, Google.com.pk needs to change the script for Punjabi over to arabic. Incidentally, almost 60% of the Pakistani population is Punjabi speaking.

First Pakistani Muslim women in British Parliment

Sayeeda Warsi, who has become shadow minister for community cohesion, is thought to be the first Muslim to reach such a prominent position in British politics.
Although not well known to the public, she has a high profile among David Cameron's Conservatives.
Having served as a special adviser on community relations to previous leader Michael Howard, she has been a vice-chairman of the party since 2005.
In 2004, she gave up her job as a solicitor - and a £130,000 annual salary - to stand for Parliament in her home town of Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
She lost to Labour's Shahid Malik, but will now be given a peerage to enable her to enter the shadow cabinet.
Ms Warsi - who is married with a daughter - says her admiration for Conservative principles is inspired by the example of her father, who made his way from working in a mill to running a £2m-a-year bed manufacturing firm.
She is fluent in Punjabi, Urdu and Gujarati, and Mr Cameron will be hoping Ms Warsi can reach out to communities with low levels of Tory support.
Ms Warsi has, however, been quite outspoken in her views. She has criticised state schools for offering "too politically correct" a curriculum.
She is also against all-women shortlists for Tory parliamentary candidates.
During her career, the 36-year-old has worked with Pakistan's Ministry of Law on a project to fight forced marriage.
She told the BBC News website in 2005: "There has been a terrible myth created that it's an Asian issue, worse still, a Muslim issue. There is no place for it, certainly in Islam."
Educated at Leeds University, she describes herself as a "Northern, working-class roots, urban working mum" and says the Tories have a "real commitment" to engaging "with real people".
Her new job will give Ms Warsi the chance to do just that.

At last after one year's effort and the expense of £ 400,000 the official logo of 2012 London Olympics was revealed yesterday.But what came out was really a shock for Londoners and soon it converted into world shock.London is famous for designing and people from all over the world come here to study designing and graphics, but after seeing this logo lot of students change their mind and thinking to go somewhere else to complete their studies.Everybody is trying to understand that what on earth is this supposed to be? In third world its daily routine to push the cars early in the morning, most of the time it happens with you when you are ready to go to office or in other hurry and when you leave the home, you just see your neighbour struggling with his car to start it and as soon as he sees you he calls you that please come here and push the car so he can start it, you have no choice other than to say yes, because its your neighbour and its your moral duty to help the neighbours in problem, so you put your bag on the road and give him fake smile and start pushing the car and if you are lucky enough you get help from school going kids who feel very happy to participate in this daily exercise, if the matter is only with car, than its fine, but think about this that if you are sitting in the train and train suddenly stop and the driver ask you to push the train, than what you will do ? its happened in India in the state of Bihar when one passenger pulled the emergency chord and the train stop but when driver again start the train, it refused to go ahead because its stop in the neutral-zone (a small section where there is no electrical current) and so train cant be start.Normally trains have enough momentum to pass through this zone without power but in this case train stop exact in the neutral zone, so the driver ask the passengers to get out from the train and push it remaining 12 feet so it can reach the power zone.The train took half an hour to travel on these 12 feet.

No one understand how will they do that.Even if you go to central London from west London by cab, you need more than this.
I think passengers will have to stand up and instead of sitting so aeroplane can accommodate lot more passengers, or may be you are not allowed to take any luggage and in the luggage compartment they accommodate passengers or may be you have to travel in tail of the plane or its possible that aeroplane will run from water instead of oil.But how can they afford , my mind don't understand.

Beware public i am still on road

Beware public i am still on road :) almost two weeks ago i start driving car alone , at first i feel very tense but i now i am enjoying it, still i am doing mistakes but they are not dangerous enough to make my body shake , but yesterday i make big blunder, i reach on roundabout which is close to my office and i am so used to it that i don't stop on breaking lines, because i have no idea at all that cars can come from my right side on this roundabout, it is the first time when i saw a car , which suddenly approach me and the driver is a fine lady, when she saw me without stopping and she reach very close to me than she gave me a big horn, which i listen with shame and embarrassment, but when she saw the green L on my back windscreen than she smile and i hope she forgave me.
Last night i took the car first time in night and guess what ? i didn't turn on the head lights, i totally forget about the lights and when i was in small road just 10 yards away from home than one person gave me a signal with his hand and point towards the light than i suddenly realise that lights are off.
A week ago, an ambulance put me under pressure, at that day first time i dare to drive on first lane , i prefer to drive in middle lane, because if any one want to drive fast he can drive in first lane without bothering me, but the first lane adventure soon make me tense because an emergency ambulance which was actually a car and not very prominent that its an ambulance, give me dimper three or four time from behind and i don't understand why this car doing this , but when i realise, i hurriedly change my lane and gave way to ambulance car and he cross me like arrow. I am still get tense when i change lanes in highways.
I am lucky enough that police don't see my driving yet, i came across two or three times near police cars , but whenever i see police cars i act like that i am an old experienced driver :) oh yes i also lost yesterday on roads and the place where i have to reach, suddenly disappear from maps and i have to search the whole area but at last i found my place and it was also a fun.
The good thing is this that i am a good sense able driver and i am not doing big mistakes which my other friend did when they start first driving.

Today in my office my manager remind me of my school days by saying this that a very important client is going to visit our office soon and the boss order him to clean and tidy the work place as much as you can so we can impress our client. So he grab hover and start hovering and ask my other colleague to clean the work tables and my duty is to arranging the things, i am quite good in arranging things in artistic way and hiding the clutter in such a way that place look very wide, bright and tidy.We all are laughing that it looks like a inspection team is coming and we have to clean the school in such a way that every thing will look great.
Any way we did spend around half an hour and make our office brand new by small small changes.When the client arrive he met boss and when technical meeting finish boss took him to our area to show him the full building, Before leaving our workplace the client ask the boss that is this place always tidy like this ? because we make it so clean and tidy that it look fake :) than our sales manager start smiling and boss hurriedly said, oh yes! and when he leave we all start laughing that our efforts work and and he think that we are always like this.

Bad Luck with Aerials

Now a days daily i try new aerial to get digital channels, but still cant get my favourite channel 5, every single channel is coming , but the channel for which i already change two antennas, still don't come, today again got new aerial from store, before this i gave back two of its aerials to store and every time the salesman ask me , is it not working ? than my answer is every time same, yes its working but its not receiving the channel which i want to see, so i need replacement and now i am afraid that if i will go third time for aerial change than they will ban my entry in store, but i will keep try and now during writing this post, i am again scanning channel that may be i am able to see my sweet channel 5 , every time i got new type of aerial and change the position frequently , but all in vain , aah! this aerial is also not good, i still can't be able to scan my channel yet, i have tried two times :( what should i do ??? today my favourite serail prison break will come and i am still struggling to get channel 5.

When wealth comes, it comes in abundance, you might have heard this thing before, but i am going to witness this thing in a small level.Two of my friends who are also brothers will have to get four company maintained cars in one week, they already possess their own cars, so now with in next seven days they will have keys of six different cars.
The story is this that they are good sales-men and they applied in two different companies and both companies employed them and now they are going to work in two different companies simultaneously. You may be think that how can they will manage two jobs at a time without telling their managers.In both jobs they don't have to go office daily and all the reports which they have to send is via text and e-mails.Because they are sharp enough to sell products and make clients in less time, so they work half time on one job and half on other and meet their daily targets and send reports to their respective managers side by side. They have to work extra hours to meet targets , but they will manage it, i know. The companies are not only give them cars, but also mobiles, palmtops and sat nev.So all these gadgets are now in their pockets and some time they don't know which mobile is ringing :)
They will get basic salaries plus commissions and all other facilities.Due to two jobs at a time, sometime very funny situation arise and they have to deal it very tactfully, like now a days both companies have arranged trainings for almost a week, where they have to stay all seven days in hotel and get training, but they skip one training this time, by some excuses and attend another training.The good thing about these companies are this that they don't bother if you meet their targets and this thing is in favour of these guys.I also got chance to get these jobs, but i can't handle this much hustle, i am happy in my designing stuff, i am lazy bugger who like to deal with art and graphics in nice and quite environment.Wish you best of luck guys, lets see for how long you can manage this circus. My prays are with you, because now we can use six cars and have lot of fun on company expenses, petrol is also from company ;)

Surprising Memos

From the last two days in my office we got some very surprising and very astonishing memos. Yesterday when we are working in our office than suddenly our boss pop up and give memos to every one personally. In the first memo the boss offer us a little deal that anyone who want to improve his and her skills , related to our work , are welcome by the company and boss can provide us the material and place to study in our job timings. We start our work at 8:30 am , the offer is this that if we want we can study and read articles and books and can watch motivational and educational videos and listen tapes from 8:30 till 9 am, but for this we have to come on sharp 8:15 am to office and start this from 8:15 so we can total spend 45 minutes daily on this, if anyone can come even one minute late , he is not eligible to go upstairs in meeting room and study, he have to start his work on same time. Among us we four employee agreed on this and now daily we come to office before 8:15 and go directly to office kitchen , make our tea and than go to meeting room and read books over there and drink hot tea.
Today morning when i reach in office, we met our boos outside our office and he have big bag full of fruits, he gave it to me and told me that its for everyone and ask me that can i put it in kitchen , i took the fruits and put in kitchen table. After a while when we came from meeting room, we saw another memo stick in kitchen notice board in which boss offer us that he is going to provide fruit daily to us and if we run out of fruit, than any one can buy fruits from stores and boss will pay for it. He want to see all of us eating healthy things :) this new offer again surprise us and we are talking that what happened with boss , why this sudden change , but what ever happens , its good, now our kitchen is full of fruits and we daily spend 45 minutes in office reading books. Nice hannnn ! isn't it ?

If you are afraid of water and can't swim than you should take lesson from this little kid , who is doing surfing in the age of two. We should know swimming, its one of the best exercise in which all of your muscle participate and you get tone body with out taking extra protein to impress people from your manly body, hummm! but this is not a sport for lazy buggers like me .

Come on why we swim , we have to surf on net, we don't have time to surf on sea , if we do sea surfing than people will demand for sand surfing in desert , than demand will increase and they will ask for air surfing and i can't do this, so its better to sit quietly in your comfort zone and eat crisps and drink coke and watch big brother type reality show.

The kid is believed to be youngest surfer on Australia' Gold coast , whenever he do surfing, everything around beach stand still. He is attracting companies who are making deals to sponsor him.he is just like a little duck in sea. Surf baby surf , the sea is yours.

My biggest headache gone suddenly , i just moved from old home to new one and in this home i was scared that my be for long i can't be able to go online from my own PC and i hate to use office and libraries connection for working on my blogs and sites. My Internet provider take minimum minimum 15 days to shift the connection from one premises to another, which is annoying, because if you ask the company for new connection in the same premises than with in four five days they can give you connection on your required time and date, but for shifting the connection you are in trouble, this time the company give you time and date and you have to run from office on the specific time - not specific time even, they give you time like this that between 1 pm to 4 pm , with in you have to be in home, other wise wait for more fifteen days - not good , but what you can do, you have to listen, i am happy because in this home i have no intention to live more than one month because i am looking for more better place to hire , so i cant even get Internet with in next 15 days and this give me nightmares that how can i am away from net for around one and half month , but as soon as i plug in my computer in my new place, it detects wireless networks with speed of 1 MB and now i am enjoying the very good speed without even knowing that from which home this network is operate and i don't even need passwords, this is not security protected network, so i am surfing on net and writing this post in hurry, because i have no idea about this person net habit, it can be open for all night and it can be shut down with in minutes , i have to do spying duty for some days too, i want to know the timings of this person that when he usually come and go so with in this time i can finish my work and rest of the time enjoy TV.
right now i am not sitting on chair and i am working on knee down position because my chair is still in old home and i will collect it tomorrow.I am tired in this position and want to finish this post, so c u tomorrow.

haaaa! at last this day come in my life,for which i am waiting from the last so many years, today i drove to my work alone, yes its me and my God alone, no one else, no instructors, no thick teachers, no friends, no one for my protection, the truth is mostly for the public protection, because my friends declared me a Road risk and give my name to authorities to put it in dangerous drivers list,and all of them refuse to sit with me, with some excuses, some said that they are still unmarried, some said that they don't see Michale Jackson yet, some said that they are not in a hurry to see the God soon, some said that they don't have life insurance, some said they are bound by the promise which they have with their mothers that they will not risk their lives.They all are coward, hunn!

But despite public protest and anger i took the car alone and drove it.Some good fun was there, like on petrol pump, at first i couldn't find the dispenser for petrol, before leaving home i ask my friend that what petrol my car use, he told me that unleaded, which i listen U-leaded, but when i reach petrol pump i couldn't find petrol over there, just diesel, un-leaded and one more thing, i start cursing to pump owner that he have petrol pump but their is no petrol, only UN-leaded and diesel, not even U-leaded, then i saw one Asian bloke and ask him that my car run from petrol , but look there is no petrol, first he look at me suspiciously, but after full gaze , he realise that i am not drunk and not goof even,so he told me that un-leaded is petrol, so i fill the tank as much i can with this fear that may be again i can't find petrol and if no body will be there than what happens, so its better to full it right now.

Now the journey starts,every thing is going smooth than suddenly i discover new thing, a sainsbury parking space,one of my friend who have stomach of steel agree to sit with me and have requested to me to drop him some where, he came to see my friend who is very ill, i was going to Ealing to drop my friend than i took a small left turn, which in my knowledge is shortcut, but this short cut introduced me a new world, sainsburry parking, i was shocked, coz suddenly road was finished and there was a dead end, i was thinking that what is this, where is road gone, how can i reach here, now what i will do,there was no way return for newbie like me, the road goes directly to underground parking and you have no option either to go inside or reverse you car, coz in front there is big foot path and my car wheels are not big enough, nor i have stamina for this adventure, i hate to reverse the car, but i start reversing, than i realised that i can turn my car full and make it straight and can drive in respect full way, so i turn the car and than again catch the road and drop my friend.Before leaving home, i throw red L and stick green L on my front and back wind screens so i got some help from experienced driver, i make some other mistakes too but they are not very serious.

Now i am in home and very tired due to this new experience, my muscle and nerves was very tense during driving so i am feeling tiredness,so after this i will eat my dinner and than watch Prison break that what Michael Scofield and sarah are doing there and what new twist will come today.

Spywares make me tired

Spy wares still give me nightmares , i tried my best to get rid of these but they stick my PC as much as a desperate lover with his girlfriend .All of my weekend i spent my time on it but all in vain,they are as stubborn as my office colleague Mr. Haji who insist that all his theories are correct, but i like him, he is a very good guy by nature , but some time he make me so much annoy with his weired theories that i want to leave the workplace and scream outside , but i cant .
anyway where i was, oh yes, i was talking about spywares , on one side there are spywares who make my life miserable and on other side i got flu, which is also not less than hell, my nose is running like river Thames and instead of using tissues i am using towels, but i am lucky i don't get flu like Haji, because he every time got serious flu, which is still mystery in our office, that what is serious flu, if there is serious flu, than must be somewhere there is funny flu and we are still looking for it, we hope one day Mr Haji will show us funny flu too. one thing make me more worry that i have to go to office tomorrow, the sweet weekend is almost finish :( and i m ready to go to bed, may be i will not go.
haa! spywares, i install 4, 5 anti spywares , 6, 7 times i restore my windows, but nothing happened, than i move all data in another disk and restore my window two times, now i think spywares gone, but new tension, now my PC can't detect the DVD and i am not able to install any softwares.let me watch movie, i don't want to bore you any more, i am tired now and also have to press my clothes, i will see you again tomorrow and try to detect my DVD.

I am away from Internet from last two days, one of my best mate which i called him Computer geek give me this gift, he installed some thing from net , which was originally a virus , i warned my friend hundred times that never ever install anything on my PC whiteout telling me, he is vary intelligent and sharp in daily things and also good in computer and Internet, but in some matters he is dumb, like he have no idea about viruses and hackers and spy wares, so for this reason he is not allowed to do any thing extra on my PC, but all in vain he did install one software in order to remove spy wares which was not anti spy ware , originally was spy ware.
So i am struggling to clean my PC from this garbage , and almost 99% its virus and spy ware free, but still suddenly my PC start sending E-mails to unknown people and i am afraid my computer is become Zombie .I tried many antivirus and anti spy wares but still one percent problem is there , the same sending e-mail without telling me :( during writing this Post i told my friend that you are going to be famous, i am telling the world about you than suddenly he gave me idea that now restore your computer, before this even i can't restore my PC to previous dates , let me try ,than i will tell you am i succeed or not.
oh yes one thing i forget to tell you that during this search and effort to clean my PC i discover some free anti spy wares which work very well , if any one of you have got same problem than he should check these ,i install and use so many softwares but most of them don't give me expected result but these two softwares help me a lot, you can download it directly from their respective sites, one is totally free for some basic services which are enough for me as well, and for other one you can use it free for one month and than you have to pay for using it , otherwise it will automatically stop working. below are the links , one is on download.com and one is direct from its website.

Metropolitan police of London is one of the best police in world, The Scotland yard is famous for his investigation, but in one thing i think its fail, i know its not failed, but i feel one thing very badly on London's street in night, the fear of thugs and hoddy gang,you don't feel safe mostly in tube stations and London's boroughs, these gangs are of mostly teenagers and most of the time without any reason they attack on you and rob you and stab you.
Three times i face these gangs ,two time in buses and one time on New Year night between 300 thousand people. First two times no fight but last time we fight with them ,i was wondering that why these gangs target me , i m still thinking about this. may be i look very rich ,hummm.i wish :(

Today i saw a very beautiful Asian girl in tube. I was coming from office to home. She was already in tube.I was standing in the door and she mistakenly get up one station earlier from her station, but she didn't go back to her seat and stood in front of door. She was tall, have medium brown hair and fair colour. She was wearing a long brown coat and have muffler around her neck which was of camel colour which make her face complexion very attractive.I really like her and want to talk to her, but ahhhh!!! i didn't and now i m regretting.We get off the train on the same station and outside the station she went on right side and i took the left side.Next time if i see her i will try to talk to her, but i know i will not :(

Miss the Missy D

I miss my favourite radio presenter Missy-D now a days .She is in India for holidays for almost a month.She used to do a 3-7 pm programme drive time with Missy-D on Club Asia radio London.I miss her spontaneous translation of different things in Punjabi and Urdu language.She laughs a lot during the programme and talk about general things and events which are happening around.When Missy came on radio at 3'O clock i daily turn on the radio in office and listen her, but now a days i m not regular.In her absence ,Bali is doing a program , i also like Bali for her Scottish ascent.

CRICKET WORLD CUP 2007

Tomorrow will be the opening day of ICC Cricket World Cup and the first match will be between host West Indies and Pakistan.Both teams are equally favourite for world cup and already won world cup previously.Pakistan won their both warm up matches this week and in good spirit , besides losing their best bowlers Shoaib and Asif due to injuries.
West Indies have won five of the seven World Cup matches played between Pakistan and West Indies and hopes this will give him edge over Pakistan psychologically.
The kick off will be at Sabina Park, kingston , jamaica.This would be the third one day international at Sabina Park between Pakistan and West Indies and the host team has won both matches.Both Pakistan and West Indies have nine players each who haven’t ever played in ICC Cricket World Cups.

To reduce the risk of climate change , we need to use sustainable energy which is not only extremely helpful to tackle Global warming, but also very cheap in nature.Poor countries which can't afford to produce electricity via petroleum or coal or gas or they cant develop nuclear plants, the sustainable energy is best solution for them.For example electricity from windmills, from solar panels, hydro electric power, bio energy etc.

The energy produce from wind mill is best for those countries where wind is in abundance , the best example is of Holland, Holland is a very well developed country but its using wind power with too much success , in Africa and Asia the sun is bright all year long and if they start using solar energy , they can solve their all energy problem. The advance nations should take initiative and assist less developed countries in order to get this goal.

due to growing environmental concerns regarding the way organisations use the world’s resources make an effect on big organisations to change their policies and make thier organisations more ECO friendly.Now more organisations are introducing environmental policies in order to follow the principles of sustainable development.For example IKEA , a european furniture giant says

"At IKEA, we shall always strive to minimise damaging effects to the environment, which may result as a consequence of our activities." - IKEA's Environmental Policy.

The main problem is that in many cases the organisations who have invested
money in adopting more green policies can be the companies who actually
produce the most pollution e.g. British Petroleum, British Airways and Shell. Many of these
firms have departments who are dedicated to producing environment reports
and strategies. British Airways is considered to have recognised environmental policies;
however it still does not hide the fact that airlines are the most polluting form
of transport which threatens the earth today.

Officials fail to their own Green targets which they set for general public to make the environment cleaner and greener.According to the United Nation, the official and ministers in developed countries, don't follow the exact procedure and rules which are necessary to reduce the risk of Global Warming.

These authorities which campaign and stress too much about global warming do less at their side.They prefer to travel via air, even though they can easily manage to go by rain or car, for long distance journeys.

In most of the government offices, the light and other electrical equipment goes on without even a single person in it and no one bothers to switch off the lights before leaving to go home.The officials used to travel in 4x4s and in heavy cars which consume a lot of petrol and produce more carbon emissions in the air.

A few years ago the Deputy Prime Minister of United kingdom John Prescot , known as two jagos in British press (he owns two jaguars) , famously took a car a couple of hundred meters down the road to a conference because his wife didn't want her hair to get messed up in the wind.the same man booked four huge hotel suites for a two night stay in Rhode Island in June 2006 to attend a conference on climate change.This is the type of over consumption that is contributing to the very subject he was there to talk about.He also said once to public that instead of cars people should use bicycles.

POLLUTED HUMAN BEINGS

It's not just pollution from industry and agriculture that causes a problem. Recent studies have found chemicals such as PBDE's (polybrominated diphenyl ethers)which are fire retardant chemicals used in for example furniture, clothing and electrical goods getting into the food chain and are bioaccumulating in wild animals. Alarming amounts of such chemicals have been found as far north as the arctic in Polar Bears. These chemicals are thought to have an effect on the thyroid and sex hormones, and of course even if you don't care about wild animals, humans, being at the top of the food chain, will be bioaccumulating these chemicals too. The blood of ministers from 13 European Union countries were found to be contaminated with dozens of industrial chemicals, including some that were banned decades ago. The officials have an average of 37 industrial chemicals in their blood, according to tests conducted in June and released by the international conservation organization WWF. I was reading this news in metro that Former Canadian Defense Minister is saying UFOs are for real and demanding that Governments should use Alien Technology.?

Former Canadian Defence Secretary Rt.Hon.Paul Hellyer is saying that we can use the Alien Technology for saving our planet from effects of Global warming by using the alternative source of energy the Aliens are using to come this long from their home to run our planet instead of fossil fuels.

He is the first official of any advance country to admit that Aliens are for real and he is also the one who claim that he saw an UFO.
Former Vice President of United States Al Gore also claim that he saw UFOs too.
There are lot of evidence of UFOs seeing all around the world.The scientist should think about this to develop a technology similar to aliens technology.

WATERWAYS POLLUTION

By nature water is the neatest and clearest of all liquid,but we humans are trying our best to make it dirty and polluted. One of the best examples of how we are polluting it is the way we treat our waterways. Waterways are made up of rivers, creeks, lakes, canals, streams etc. They are important in respect of their high economic and environmental value. Water pollution can be caused by garbage, urban runoffs, industrial waste, pesticides and other sprays, oil and grease from roads, hospital wastes etc.

Almost every big city in the world is responsible for contaminating the water, not only by its industrial estates but also through the sewerage systems ,human waste is as much responsible as any other cause . In most cities sewers and drains are not connected to the treatment plants and dirty water runs directly into rivers, creeks, sloughs and the oceans with no treatment. Water contamination can then result in degrading aquatic life, creating unpleasant odours and causing too many health-related problems by contacting or drinking this polluted water not only in human beings but also in wild life.

We can safeguard our waters from this pollution not only on government bases but also through individual efforts. Governments should pass and enforce strict laws for industry to ensure that they can’t throw their industrial wastes, fluids and chemicals directly into waterways without treatment. Every factory/ business should have its own treatment plants.As individuals we can also contribute largely to this, for example if we dispose of our garden and lawn clippings properl.,and in developed countries there are facilities for this. Car owners should keep their vehicles properly serviced to minimise the leakage of oil and other liquids. Household waste should be disposed of properly, using special bin bags or preferably paper bags. Educate your family and friends about these matters. If you became aware of water contamination and pollution in your local area than contact your nearest water and environmental agencies or government departments.

It is very important to protect our waterways from all types of pollution so we can protect not only ourselves but also wildlife. Water is life, take care of it, it will take care of you.
